Between the Winter Break and holiday travel schedules, this will be the last Team MODS meeting for 2005.

MODS Budget

Most of this meeting was devoted to a presentation by Darren DePoy on the current state of the budget for MODS. Since this involved some discussion of vendors with competing bid proposals still pending award, we cannot quote hard numbers or names in this report. In summary, the budget looks good for the completion of MODS1 and MODS2. We are currently moving some items around and evaluating trade offs and priorities regarding outstanding vendor bids, but progress is excellent and we appear to have enough cash in hand to complete the project as promised. If we define "complete the project" as when both MODS1 and MODS2 are deployed on the LBT and operational, the critical path item for completion is still deployment of the LBT secondaries.

Current issues regarding the state of the LBT active secondaries were discussed as well.
