modsIDL Sample Data

These are the sample data files for the modsIDL spectral data reduction pipeline, as mentioned in Chapter 5 of the manual. You only need the raw sample images to run the worked example from Chapter 5. The other bundles of data contain the various stages of outputfrom the reduction process. These only need to be downloaded if you wish to compare your results to these files.
Raw Sample Images:
LS_OBS_Raw.tgz (1.5Gb)

Output Reference Data:
LS_OBS_Pyth.tgz - OTF processed data (5.3Gb): Compare this data bundle to the modsCCDRed output, whose processing is described in section 4.3 of the manual.
LS_OBS_Proc.tgz - Input files for modsIDL (1.7Gb): Compare this data bundle to the directory you input into modsIDL, as described in section 4.4.1 of the manual.
LS_OBS_WorkingDirectory.tgz - Calibration files created by modsIDL (249Mb): Compare this data bundle to the files created by mods_reduce, as described in section 4.4.2 of the manual.
LS_OBS_Science.tgz - Output science data (3.3Gb): Compare this data bundle to later stages of data processing, e.g., sky subtraction, flux calibration, and extraction to one dimensional spectra described in sections 4.4.3 -- 4.4.5 of the manual.
