LBT OSU/RC Queue Observing: UTC 2009 June 17

Summary: Cirrus on the horizon near sunset. We lost some time during the
night due to a panicking mirror. Variable seeing between 1" and 2".

Observed: M101,M81,GRB080310,N4258,N6503, and N628.


Detailed Notes:

UT0200

Took 25 biases.

UT0300

Not photometric since there are clouds on the horizon. We took sky flats
in B, R,g, i, r, and z.

UT0316

Red camera failed. Rebooted the CMU.

UT0425

Observing M101

UT0502

Observing M81. The right main mirror failed to focus (some problems
since its at a low airmass).

UT0515

Observing GRB080310. Red mirror panicked due to a too large of a z22
correction.

UT0600

Refocused and observed GRB080310 again. In the middle of the OB, an
actuator was disabled which makes it look like there is coma in the
images. The actuator was then enabled.

UT0648
Observing N4258. Some blue side images are useless.

UT0712

Observing N4258. In a z limit in U filter because its at low elevation.

UT0810

After the left mirror panicked four times in a row, we were able to
begin observing N6503.

Observing N5474.

UT0920

Observing N6503. We repeated this observation three times.

UT1055

Observed N628. Its at low airmass. Stopped partway through OB since
images were saturated.
