Rough Observing Log for UT 2011/02/05

We lost several hours to instruments (both LBC and Lucifer), telescope
(tertiary), and weather (humidity). I will calculate up the hours
later.

Weather:
Sky was clear to photometric all night, though morning revealed a few
clouds around the horizon. Seeing was ~2.0 for the first half, down to
about 1.0 at the end. Wind was 10 to 15 m/s. Humidity varied from 30%
to above 95%.

OSU_HeI_BALQSOs (3 of 4 targets)
OSU_a1689 (partial completion, interrupted by failure to locate guide star)



01:04 Sunset. Problems saving data to /newdata.

01:10 Starting flat field tests. No data appearing.

Ran arc-lamp calibration script for program OSU_HeI_BALQSOs twice
because there were lights on in the dome the first time.

12:41 Opened again. Starting program OSU_a1689.

12:58 The OSU_a1689 script failed about 9/14 of the way through,
because of a failed preset (possibly a guide star too close to the
edge of the allowed region). No time to attempt a fix. Moving on the
to the standard star script.

13:04 Finished program OSU_a1689.

Did twilight flats in J, H, and K.

Did darks.
