OSU/RC Queue Observing UTC 2011 November 19 (civil date 2011 Nov 18/19) =========================================== Observers: K.Z. Stanek, R. Stoll (OSU) Observing Assistant: Steve Allanson Support Astronomer : Dave Thompson Instrumentation : Tim Shih Instrument: LBC Summary: Detailed notes: 00:55 Cloudy and windy, but we opened to test the sky flats. We should probably throw these away, as there might be clouds in there. 01:05 Did the pointing, collimation etc. 01:30 Started the science exposure of NGC 6946. Seeing is about 1.2". Some clouds. 02:10 Collimated and started a second sequence for NGC 6946. It seems that the red side sequence has died after 3 exposures? Yes, it did, we restertade the LBC. 02:52 Mowing to M31 field, doing collimation. Seeing about 1.2". Sky mostly clear. 03:26 Moving to NGC 672, collimating. Seeing about 1.2". Actual image quality a bit worse, 1.5". 04:07 Moving to NGC 628, collimating.Seeing about 1.5", windy. Had to abort due to wind (some data were taken). 04:56 Moving back to M31, as there are no good other targets that wind allows. Seeing about 1.0", best so far tonight. We had to close due to wind. 06:28 We opened and tried to get some data, but it was cloudy. 07:42 We opened again, will try NGC 925. Still cloudy, but will keep going. 08:27 Doing another sequence, seeing OK (1.1"), but still cloudy. 09:17 Went to M81 field, seeing decent, but still cloudy. No useful data, too cloudy.
