Instrument: LUCI-MODS

Summary: 

Dome closed due to clouds and humidity. We used the night to obtain MODS
and LUCI calibrations. At UT 11:00, it was still overcast with 100.6%
humidity so we called the night.

Weather: 

Snowed during the morning. Overcast during the afternoon. At sunset:
still overcast, humidity ~ 90%. UT 4:50, still overcast, humidity
~95%. UT 08:00, overcast, humidity >100%. UT 10:15, overcast, humidity
~100%.

UT 23:40,  MODS calibrations
   Bias 8kx3k
   Bias 3kx3k
   Bias 8kx3k, 2x2 binning

macs0717.prmosflats.cal, flats look fine but the image shows strange
   reflection (Olga is investigating)
   -- note: "reflections" are known prism ghosts...

   QTH1+UG5 saturated in the red but fine in the blue. Exposure time is at
   minimum, it cannot be improved.

   VFLAT max counts ~10000., run another set of VFLAT with exposure
   time=1.5 s

macs0717.prmosflats_1.cal

   VFLAT, 5 exp, exposure time 1.5 s, max counts

macs0717.prmoslamps.cal, arc lamp lines look fine but the image shows
   strange reflection.

Dual grating pixel flats

Blue grating pixel flats

Blue grating pixel flats, binning 2x2: saturated; after running various
  tests, we have found the optimal configuration

macs0647.prmoslamps.cal, arc lamp lines look fine but the image shows
  similar reflection as macs0717

script modified by adding a set of VFLAT with exposure time=1.5 s

macs0744.prmoslamps.cal some images show reflection as well (esp blue 93)

   arc_HK.cal - half of the slit covered by on-axis guide probe - first
                and second set of exposures bad, then ran ok

   flat_zJ.cal - had to scale up exposure times - good ones start with
                 82 (or so)

OSU_BALQSO_He: the scripts provided are not adequate and have serious issues

   Flat_HK.obs - not sure what observer meant to do here - flexure comp
                 off, not a spec flat 

   Edited a flatlamp.cal to produce flats

   aborted an incorrect script before

OSU_Lensmass
   HKarcs.cal: script failure. The mask ID does not correspond to any of
               the LUCI masks installed.
