Observers: P. Martini (OSU), G. Simonian (OSU), M. Rutkowski (UMN) Support Astronomer: Dave T. Telescope Operator: David Gonzalez Summary We observed with MODS all night. Seeing was a little higher than one arcsecond throughout the night. The night was clear. We observed OSU_CHAOS along with the OSU_VOID objects: VGS39A and VGS36A. We also observed the OSU_ASASSN target ASASSN13dn. We also took LBC biases for the previous night (some are under the previous night's data due to a numbering mistake), along with MODS biases and flats. We also took calibrations for the OSU_CHAOS target, and the upcoming UM_Par308 target. One technical problem was IMCSLOCK failing to acquire, however this was solved by the support astronomer by restarting the laser. We lost about 40 minutes when we went to observe the OSU_CLASH 1423 mask and found out the masks for our run had not been loaded. We decided to have them loaded during the night to observe the high-priority OSU_CHAOS mask, which will be compromised by moonlight starting tomorrow. Details: All times are UTC unless otherwise indicated Configured for MODS1 01:30 - Began 3K biases. Forgot to reset the count so the 3K biases are located at 20140604.00[18-22].fits. Those should be renamed at some point. 01:47 - Began 8K biases. These start at the correct numbers. 02:45 - Opened the dome. Basically clear; with minor cirrus. Temp is 14.1C. 03:09 - Acquiring GD153 03:16 - Ran into IMCSLOCK for Red Channel. Attempt to manually acquire lock failed. After restarting red laser, lock was reacquired. 03:24 - Reacquiring GD153. 03:31 - Start integration of gd153 dual grating calibration. 03:47 - Acquiring ASASSN13dn. 03:55 - Taking data on ASASSN13dn 05:18 - Acquiring macs1423 05:21 - Error that slitmask wasn't found. It turned out that the new MOS slitmasks weren't installed. We wanted to get these done while there was dark time, so we took some dead time to install them. 06:00 - Acquiring VGS39A 06:15 - Taking data on VGS39A. 07:05 - Acquiring VGS36A (Using HA 2-5 script). Continually running into "Invalid guide probe Y position". Changing the guide star fixed it. 07:15 - Taking data on VGS36A. 07:53 - Acquiring NGC6946 for OSU_CHAOS. 08:16 - Starting NGC 6946 observation. 10:32 - Acquiring BD+284211 10:45 - Taking data from BD+284211 11:11 - Taking MODS Calibrations grflats.cal, grpixflats.cal, NGC 6946, and Par 308.
