The sky is very smoky from a distant fire to the west.  Allanson will monitor
for falling ash or thick smoke. Otherwise it is clear with calm winds.

STARTING INSTRUMENT: LBC

02:55 UT: Opening.  Initial seeing roughly 1 arcsec.
03:36 UT: Ash fall getting worse.  Closing.
05:00 UT: Still closed.  Dust/ash accumulating on surfaces outside.

21:30 UT: Morning twilight beginning.  Dust/ash conditions prevented us from acquiring any data this night.
