Calm winds.  Sky is half covered from the zenith to the west horizon with thick
smoke.  No smoke at mountain elevation, nor is there any sign of ashfall, but we will
delay opening while we see how it evolves.

            Guider seeing about 1"

04:02 UT:   Starting science exposures for ASASSN14bu
	    Guider seeing about 1.6"  (1.7 airmass)

04:45 UT:   Going to ND_v418Ser
   05:07:   Starting science exposures.  DIMM seeing 1"-1.2".
            Originally specified guide star in the acquistion script was too faint.
            Switched to a brighter one.
            This object is REALLY faint: maybe only 10 counts per pixel.

05:46 UT:   Moving to ND_uwcrb
            Setting up for simultaneous LBC-Red while spectra are taken.
            Olga Kuhn has kindly joined us via video conference to talk us through the
            process.
   06:18:   Have begun spectra and imaging.  Seeing is about 0.9".  Have confirmed
            pointing on the LBC images.  The spectra are pretty faint.  Seeing on 
            images is as good as 0.7".  DIMM says 0.8".
