February 17, 2015 (AZ) Targets observed: nope. MODS MOS calibrations completed UT 00:23 started cals (MOS masks) We misunderstood which date we were supposed to use. We labeled our first night Feb 15, then the second night we took some calls labeled Feb 16, but the rest of the night will be Feb 17. UT 1:27 wind is somewhat high, with gusts in the 15-20 m/s range. UT 1:50 collimated by hand; the dimm gives <4” seeing UT 2:01 we seem to have a shortage of 5” seeing programs. UT 2:46 Slewing to ASASSN13db, provided by Ben as a 3-4” seeing target. UT 3:01 Starting ASASN13db obs script - seeing has improved to 2.2” UT 2:18 second gust of wind above 22 m/s, closing. :( Consistent gusts of >22 m/s until: UT 6:15 wind constant at ~23 m/s, humidity over limit. UT 6:20 MODS (more MOS masks) cals around now UT 8:30 snowing; taking LUCI cals UT 8:40 after taking a luci test image, our darks triggered a LUCI slit mask error. Dave was called to fix it.
