LBT OSU/RC Observing Notes Date: 2015 Oct 09 Observers-- Fausnaugh, Adams Summary: Completed one science target and one standard star before clouds moved in. Humidity rose and stayed above 95% for the rest of the night. The only other point of excitement was a fire alarm triggered by a smoking humidifier---it seems the powers that be are not without a certain irony. Completed programs: OSU_ASASSNfo (standard star bd284211) --------------------------------------------------------- UT 01:12 - mostly cloudy, scattered thick clouds, but humidity and wind are within the limits. UT 01:37 - opening to same conditions. UT 01:47 - closing because clouds are unfavorable. UT 02:20 - clouds are passing, reopening. UT 02:27 - acquiring standard bd284211. Seeing ~ 1.35 (DIMM) UT 02:31 - observing bd284211 (DualGrating only) UT 02:41 - acquiring OSU_ASASSN14fo. Seeing ~ 1.2 (GCS GUI). Skies are mostly clear (light cirrus) UT 02:53 - observing OSU_ASASSN14fo. UT 03:24 - thick patchy clouds moving through the sky (up to 2 mag extinction from the gcs). 3rd exposure affected. UT 03:30 - acquiring OSU_M33LS2. Seeing ~ 1.1 (DIMM) fairly bad extinction, guide star coming in and out UT 03:45 - observing OSU_M33LS2. Thick clouds moving through (>3 mag extinction, gsc). UT 03:52 - closing due to thick clouds. Humidity has risen to >90%.
