LBT OSU/RC Observing Notes Date: 2016 Jan 04 (UT) Observers: Kevin Croxall (at Tucson Remote Facility) Support: Olga Kuhn TelOps: Gino Bechetti Summary: Fairly clear skys at sunset. Some clouds in the south that seem to be coming up from Baja. Forcast is for clear skies. Starting with LBC. Having problems with the LBC red focus falling out. However, the sky is clear and the seeing low. Stayed clear all night. Early on had some trouble keeping the red side in focus due to rapid changes in temperature. Some less optimal seeing in the middle of the night but never terrible. Lost one red image in the OSU_monitor target N5194 and had to restart LBC. Completed science targets: ND_ksn15a UM_AGC198606 OSU_monitor Priority #1 (N2903,N3344,N3627,N3489,N4214,N4395) ND_Sextans OSU_monitor Priority #2 (N5194,M101,N4826,N4736) _____________________________________________________________ UT 02:45 Had trouble getting LBC to focus.
