Date: 2016 June 18 UT Observers: P. Garnavich, M. Fausnaugh, J. Zinn TO: David G. SA: Barry R. Moon phase: 2 days before Full 1/2 night, split with director. Summary: Clear skies, photometric conditions. Software problems at sunset delayed getting on sky until 20 minutes after 18 degree twilight. Observed OSU_monI programs. Completed Programs (LBC):OSU_monI/N4214, N4395, N4736, M101, N5474, N6503 Details (All times UT): ---------------------------------- Plan is LBC bright time targets, 1/2 night (split with director) 02:40 -- Sunset. Dome is open, but some issues with software (IDL, RB_Science). 03:15 -- IDL is fixed, but larger problem with network and data acquisition on /newdata. 03:38 -- Called SA---there was mention of a (theoretical) possibility of manually copying MODS data to the obs machines. We would prefer this rather than repeating LUCI observations. After some discussion, it was decided that LBC and MODS are unavailable. 03:50 -- Reconfiguring for LUCI, looking for back up scripts... 04:15 -- 18 degree twilight 04:17 -- Problem with LBC is fixed, we are configuring back to LBC. 04:40 -- collimating 04:42 -- Copointing 04:52 -- Observing OSU_monI/N4214 05:02 -- Collimating, OSU_monI/N4395 05:07 -- Observing N4395 seeing is ~0.8 arcseconds (science image, red side). 05:19 -- Collimating, OSU_monI/N4736 05:25 -- Observing N4736 seeing is ~1.0 arcseconds (science image, red side). 05:42 -- Observing N4449 05:55 -- Collimating, M101 6:00 -- Observing, M101 Seeing is ~ 0.7" (science image, red side) 06:30 -- Collimating, N5474 06:34 -- Observing N5474 seeing is ~0.7" (science image, red) 07:10 -- Collimating, N6503 07:16 -- Observing N6503 seeing is ~0.6" (science image, red) 07:31 -- Handover to directors times.
