Date: 2016 Oct 29 UT Observers: Jon Brown, Suk Sien Tie TO: Steve A. SA: Barry R. (on call) Moon phase: Summary: Weather was cloudy at start of night, but eventually cleared. Did some bright MODS targets while that was happening. There was a TCS hardware failure that occured during the ND_ksn14b observation, but some of the frames may be useful. We were down for approximately 3 hours. When everything was brought back online, the weather was great and we did LBC targets for the remainder of the night. Completed Programs: OSU_ASASSN/ASASSN16ll OSU_MONITOR/N628 OSU_MONITOR/N672 OSU_MONITOR/N972 OSU_MONITOR/N2403 OSU_MONITOR/M82 OSU_MONITOR/M81 OSU_MONITOR/N3077 OSU_MONITOR/I2574 OSU_MONITOR/N2903 OSU_MONITOR/N3344 Calibrations: Details (All times UT): ---------------------------------- Plan is MODS/cals and will switch LBC later 00:00 -- Handover/software start-up. Thin clouds seem to have dissipated. 10:56 -- OSU_MONITOR - I2574 Accidentally ran the focus OB from the OSU_monI directory, but this shouldn't be a problem because it appears to be identical to the focus OB in the OSU_MONITOR directory. 11:07 -- Started science exposure. 11:19 -- OSU_MONITOR - N2903 11:31 -- Started science exposure. Some haze on horizon. Seeing ~1.2". 12:13 -- OSU_MONITOR - N3344 Background is pretty high in this part of the sky. 12:23 -- Started science exposure.
