Date: 2016 Oct 29 UT Observers: Jon Brown, Suk Sien Tie TO: Steve A. SA: Barry R. (on call) Moon phase: Summary: Weather looked pretty bad at the start, but we opened and attempted a few targets. By the time the standard star was done, the conditions weren't horrible. Approximately half way through the M33 object, the conditions deteriorated significantly, and the last couple exposures were very low S/N. Handed over to LBTI at midnight. Completed Programs: ND_foarq/foarq UM_M33stars/M33-7 Calibrations: Details (All times UT): ---------------------------------- Plan is MODS (if weather clears) and handover to LBTI at midnight. 00:00 -- Handover/software start-up. Weather does not look promising. 01:15 -- Standard feige110. 01:20 -- Started exposure. 01:35 -- ND_foarq - foarq 01:42 -- Started science exposure. There's definitely some clouds, but they should be decreasing. Seeing ~1". 02:30 -- Definitely looking through some thin clouds, but the S/N looks pretty good. 03:15 -- Clouds are fairly thin, seeing ~1". Should be tolerable until handover. 03:31 -- MODS1 blue lagging ~6 exposures behind due to a hang on 'Exposure done, cleaning up', so we ran 'blue expdone', everything looks fine. (This happend twice). 05:00 -- UM_M33stars - M33-7 Transparency still not great. Seeing ~0.9". 05:11 -- Started science exposure. 06:00 -- Clouds getting a little thicker. 06:20 -- Most stars in the West have disappeared. Exposures 4 & 5 will likely be of little use. 07:00 -- Handover to LBTI.
