The plan is MODS for the whole night. We're going to lose Internet access after midnight MST (07:00 UTC), but we've stored everything we might need locally, so it shouldn't be a problem. 02:45 -- Getting ready to collimate, and then the fire alarm went off. Really didn't think smoke would be an issue tonight... 03:10 -- Heading to a standard, essentially no time lost. 03:20 -- Starting GD153, conditions are great, seeing ~0.8". 03:30 -- Just about done, ASASSN14ms is next. 03:50 -- Started ASASSN14ms.obs. Clear skies, seeing ~0.7". Conditions were good throughout. There are some strange vertical patterns in the MODS2 frames...there seems to be these unusual light patterns even in areas blocked by the slitmask, and these are not seen in MODS1 data. A good example is mods2b.20170528.0005.fits. 06:20 -- Started ND_carbon/jy1390.obs. Skies still clear, seeing ~0.7". Conditions great throughout. The same vertical patters are evident in these MODS2 frames as well, though not very clear in the red images. 07:10 -- Started ND_carbon/jy3291. Conditions holding steady. 07:50 -- Moving to OSU_ASASSN/ASASSN17cz. The seeing was substantially better than the finding chart for this object; there is actually a star very close to the position of the SN. 08:10 -- Started ASASSN17cz.obs. Strange pattern on the MODS2r thru-slit image. 09:10 -- Moving to UM_Novae/v5668sgr. 09:20 -- Doing first test exposure. Counts were 5k-7k in the emission lines. We'll do 5x30s. Conditions clear, seeing just over 1". 09:45 -- Moving to OSU_ASASSN/AT2016gxp. 10:00 -- Starting AT2016gxp. Seeing fairly poor (1.5") but this is fairly low in the sky. Seeing stayed ~1.3" throughout. 11:30 -- Got 3 decent exposures, but 4th was dominated by sky, done for tonight.
