Date: 2018 May 19 (UT) Observers: Brown, Vallely TO: Geno Bechetti SA: Olga Kuhn Moon phase: Summary: Everything went smoothly all night, weather was great right up until the very end. Started with a MODS program and moved to LBC and did a whole bunch of OSU_monitor. Minor technical issues: Completed Programs: MODS: OSU_EHIGalaxies/J104457 MODSPhotCal/gd153 LBC: OSU_monitor/I2574 OSU_monitor/N4395 OSU_monitor/N4449 OSU_monitor/N4605 OSU_monitor/N5474 OSU_monitor/N6503 OSU_monitor/M101 Details (All times UT): ---------------------------------- Plan: Start with MODS, switch to LBC ~halfway through the night. 02:00 - sunset 03:25 - Started OSU_EHIGalaxies/J104457.obs Conditions are great, very clear, seeing ~0.7". 04:30 - Some issues acquiring GD153...this is not the first time I've seen this on GD153...we're checking pointing and resending the acq script. 04:45 - Starting gd153.obs. 05:05 - Switching to LBC. 05:45 - Started OSU_monitor/N3344.ob. Conditions are pretty good, seeing ~1", maybe a little more, the wind is not playing nice with the secondary mirrors... 06:20 - Moving to I2574 Redoing the focus, since it didn't give great results in blue on the first try. Took several iterations to converge, might want to pick a slightly more Northern star, since the nearby bright star to the SW is causing ghost problems. 06:50 - Starting I2574.ob. Conditions look pretty good, seeing staying under ~1". 07:20 - Starting N4395.ob. 07:50 - Starting N4214.ob. 08:10 - Starting N4449.ob. Conditions have been steady, seeing ~1". 08:50 - Starting N4605.ob. 09:20 - Starting N5474.ob. 10:10 - Starting N6503.ob. 10:40 - Starting M101.ob. This should finish right in time for twilight flats, but it will be close. We're pushing the elevation limit, and the image quality is not so great on these. 11:30 - Starting sky flats. Looks like it's going to get cloudy all of a sudden...indeed clouds are pretty substantial at the end.
