Date: 2018 Oct 15 UTC Observers: P Vallely (OSU) & Charlotte Wood (ND) TO: Steve SA: Dave Thompson Moon phase: Summary: Another night lost to weather. Got a little bit of calibration data. Calibrations: Ran the cal scripts for the OSU_manga program, and the science mask flats for the OSU_BDVar program. Completed Programs: Details (All times UT): ---------------------------------- 00:00 - Noticing some issues with the weather/systems status info feeds from the mountain. Display screens seem not to have updated since yesterday at UTC 20:37. 00:50 - Taking the manga program cals while we wait for twilight and hope the fog clears. Problem with info feeds resolved. 01:45 - Finished running manga program cal scripts. Now waiting to be able to open. Probably not going to get to OSU_BDVar at this rate. 03:00 - Humid and cloudy. Haven't opened. 04:00 - Humidity is flirting with coming down to acceptable levels. Hoping to get to an OSU_ASASSN target or two before clouds roll in from the North in a few hours. 06:45 - Yeah, that didn't happen. Still humid and now also cloudy. I'm guessing we won't be opening tonight. 07:15 - Gonna re-run the OSU_BDVar calibration script even though they were covered last run because we can. I uncommented out the calibration mask lines in J0036.cal for good measure. 07:30 - That didn't end up working because the calibration mask (ID535523) wasn't installed. We'll ask for it to be installed for tomorrow so we can get these cals assuming the weather is bad again. 09:00 - At this point it could clear up and dry out in 5 minutes, and we wouldn't have time to observe anything after getting a standard, so we're gonna call it a night.
