During ASASSN18jd observation guide star was lost on tail end on final exposure. ASASSN19tr was interrupted by occasional light clouds, widly varying flux counts and lost guide stars with each exposure. Clouds and high humidity forced early closure. Completed Programs: OSU_ASASSN ASASSN18jd OSU_ASASSN ASASSN19tr Calibrations: bias8K_bin12.cal grpixflats_bin12.cal slitflats_bin12.cal Standard Stars: N/A Details (All times UT): ----------------------------------------------- 01:00 - started setting up MODS - weather looks bad 03:30 - started clearing a little, though not enough to open up just yet wind speed picking up 04:00 - waiting for rain to dry on roof so we can open - clear sky ahead 05:20 - began observing OSU_ASASSN/ASASSN18jd seeing around 1.5", occasional cirrus 06:30 - during last exposure for ASASSN18jd - hit by clouds, guide star lost for last 2 minutes of (20 minute) exposure 06:33 - moved to next target - OSU_ASASSN/ASASSN19tr waiting for small band of clouds to pass before next observation 06:40 - found guide star for OSU_ASASSN/ASASSN19tr seeeing ~1.1 06:55 - observing OSU_ASASSN/ASASSN19tr very light occasional clouds lost guide star with 4 minutes remaining (out of 20) in 1st exposure back after 30 seconds lost guide star 2/3rds of way through 2nd exposure, back after 1-2 minutes we are getting super low flux on these, going to throw in an extra exposure if we don't get clouded out 1/3 through third exposure, Steve warning us we might need to close up. Humidity at 87%, clouds increasing, wind 15m/s lost guide stars last minute of third exposure. 08:00 - Telescope Closed. If we have the chance tomorrow we will run another exposure or two on ASAS-SN19tr. 08:15 - running binned cals 09:00 - humidity 98.5%, thick cloud cover. 09:05 - Fog on the mountain. Steve talking about shutting down for the night. 09:40 - High humidity, heavy fog. Unlikely to improve, so closed down. Gave Steve our cells in case conditions change.
