Date: 2020 Feb 27 UTC Observers: Duck, Vallely TO: Josh Williams SA: Barry Rothberg Moon phase: Waxing crescent (illumination 7%) Summary: Good night of MODS observations. Calibrations: Feige 34 BD+33 2642 Completed Programs: UVa_WISE_MODS/wise0612 ND_paloma/pal OSU_ASASSN/LynxC1 ND_sn19ein/sn19ein OSU_ASASSN/ASASSN14li OSU_NO/UGC09128_1 Details (All times UT): ---------------------------------- 01:00 - Set up for MODS. Planning to start with wise0612 once we're past twilight. Had some issues with the GCS that delayed initial focus/collimation, but we this didn't delay us past twilight. 02:45 - Lost a bit of time trying to acquire the target because it's so faint and the finder was mediocre, but we're now starting observations of wise0612. Good seeing of about 1". Note that the MODS1B file 200121M8.0ol is an accidental copy of mods1b.20200227.0008 produced by the system automatically. 03:40 - Now moving to get Paloma. 03:55 - Paloma observations started. Note that the MODS1B file named 200121M8.0oo is an add copy of mods1b.20200227.0011 that was somehow generated by the system. 05:30 - Seeing has been generally at 1" or below. 06:35 - Going for standard Feige 34. Started at 06:45. 07:05 - Now going for LynxC1. Seeing a bit better than 1". 07:35 - Going to take advantage of the decent seeing to get sn19ein while the required conditions are available. Good 1" or less seeing throughout the observation. 08:55 - Now moving on to ASASSN14li. Seeing is still hovering between about 0.8" and 1". 11:00 - Seeing degraded a bit towards 1.2" or so as the exposures progressed. 11:40 - Starting UGC09128. Seeing started at around 1.5" but improved to 1" as the observation progressed. Seeing got pretty bad near the end of the observation again. 12:50 - Grabbing one last standard, bd332642. Added a few extra exposures to make sure the elevated post-twilight sky background isn't a problem.
