Date: 2020 Mar 2 UTC Observers: Duck, Vallely TO: Josh Williams SA: Olga Kuhn Moon phase: Waxing crescent (illumination 37%) Summary: Closed almost all night. Got one target done in subpar conditions. Calibrations: Completed Programs: UM_Dwarfs/SBS0940+544* *impacted by clouds -------- 01:00 - Starting tonight with the planned joint LUCI/PEPSI observation of Wasp-12, if weather permits. Currently looking a bit cloudy. 02:00 - Still closed for clouds. Looking likely that we will miss the Wasp-12 transit. 03:30 - Missed the window for Wasp-12, going to configure for MODS to be ready whenever the clouds clear. 05:00 - Still a bit cloudy, but going to open to be ready when it fully clears. 05:20 - Starting acquisition for SBS0940+544. Had to modify the script since the guide star was not in the MODS patrol field using the initial PA. 05:45 - Starting science exposures for SBS. Seeing is a little under 2", but will hopefully improve as the observation progresses. 06:30 - Sky has been a bit crappy for SBS. Clouds causing a couple magnitudes of extinction and seeing a little under 2". 06:45 - Moving to jy0283. Lost a few minutes because we had to update to a brighter guide star. 06:50 - Didn't work, so going to try jy3170. Pesky cloudbank is overhead, but seeing is down to 1.5" or so. 07:40 - Had to close due to humidity. 10:30 - Calling it now that it's snowing.
