Date: 2020 Sep 12 UTC Observers: R Pogge (OSU), C Wood (ND), P Garnavich (ND), O Kuhn (LBTO) TO: D. Gonzalez SA: O. Kuhn David Gonzalez on-site at LBT, all others remote from home. Moon phase: Waning Cresent Summary: No observing, completely overcast with thick high-elevation haze from the California fires all night. We could not see the Sun at sunset, but later could see the Moon, so it had thinned some by then, but never saw more than a couple of stars faintly. Spent the night getting a very thorough set of MODS calibrations. Calibrations: Did all the MODS closed-dome calibrations we would need for the run, including the 1x2 and 2x2 binning mode calibrations for ND_lamost and UM_wd when we hopefully execute those programs, and cals for all 3 MOS masks for OSU_CHAOS. Completed Programs: Calibration program crushed Details (All times UT): ---------------------------------- 00:30 - started MODS calibrations 07:45 - last MODS calibrations done 08:36 - Moon rise, visible through haze on the all-sky camera 11:13 - 15 minutes before 18-degree twilight, called the night over with only a faint red crescent moon visible.
